Uncle Willie's Eyeball Buddies

UWEB (1988-1992) was "Uncle Willie's Eyeball Buddies," the official fan club for the Eyeballed Ones.

Unlike most band fan clubs, UWEB actively produced and released CDs of music by the band, most of it available only through the club.

Uncle Willie released material to club members that no-one else ever saw. The Residents even recorded tracks specially for UWEB releases. The club released a quarterly newsletter which announced the latest Residential goings-on, explored the technology behind the music, and generally examined the Residential world.

The first, second, and last tracks are live performances of songs which were intended to be recorded on the next album ("We hope," Snakey quips to the audience). "Death Collage" is a track assembled by The Residents in tribute to their departed friend. To round out the compilation, some obscure b-sides are included as well as unreleased demos from the mid-1970's.

Track 12, Desert Island Woman, is listed as "Unknown".

hi! how can i get buckaroo blues, according to rapidshare the file is too big and i do not wish to pay for rapidshare...

klockwerk said...

Start with the the early years, get Duck Stab and let it settle in. Third Reich, and Tunes of Two Cities also go down easy. Watch a few videos on You-Tube.

Thanks Klockwerk, I'm on the case.

cheers
